Welcome to
Greenhills
Pre-School
A community pre-school in the heart of Tytherington
Welcome
Greenhills Pre-School provides a happy, safe and stimulating environment where children can learn, play and develop freely. We aim to prepare children for their transition to school and the next steps in their education.
We make full use of the grounds at Marlborough Primary School and the wider Tytherington community, giving children varied experiences that support their development in the early years.
Our History
Greenhills has been providing pre-school education for over 40 years. It began as a playgroup, originally based at the old Macclesfield Rugby Club. In 1982 the pre-school moved on to its current location within the grounds of Marlborough Primary School and began to operate as a non-profit organisation.
Our Future
Marlborough Primary School has applied for government funding to take over Greenhills Pre-School and open a new pre-school on the same site. If successful, this would help secure the pre-school’s long-term future. We expect to hear the outcome in spring 2027 and will update families as soon as we know.
